One of our neighbors mentioned they had seen my Skyline house in Oakland Magazine.  The editors had chosen the approach to the house on Skyline from a car to represent the Best Scenic Route.   The Skyline house was built in 1954 and in bad shape when I took on the task in 1994 of an addition and complete renovation.  The interesting story on the Skyline house is that during remodeling we discovered all the beautiful redwood hidden under brown and pink paint.   As part of the renovation, the entire exterior of the house was done in the re-milled and recycled redwood.  The only finish required is Australian Timber Oil.   More photos on this house can be viewed on the project page.  It is project 4.</p>
